Flavio Oliva is an Italian filmmaker, director, wildlife cinematographer, and photojournalist with a broad aesthetic and creative vision. His artistic and technical training has always influenced the aesthetic choices of his projects. His experience in the field, contact with other cultures, the natural environment, and history have profoundly shaped his distinctive and visceral style. Of particular formative importance were his photojournalistic and scientific journeys, which often led him to cover stories for National Geographic about oceanographic explorations, archaeological discoveries, and the human impact on the natural environment. His constant desire for knowledge drives him to experiment with contemporary film language across different narrative genres: “from documentary, to cinema, advertising, and virtual reality.” “Most importantly, he loves his family above all.”
